Tidy town - we can do it

Tidy town - we can do it

We are now coming into the peak time for the Tidy Town Competition and the Village and surroundings are looking pretty good, with a few spots needing a little TLC. Sadly the Retail Sector has been decimated in recent times but if we allow these premises to look down at heel, the possibility of bringing in new business is more difficult.

So if we all make an effort at sprucing up ‘a la’ Dirty Old Towns, we can help ourselves and the Tidy Town effort.

Last week the Tidy Town Group planted up the flower containers with Summer bedding which will require watering, so if there are some near you, perhaps you could keep them watered. Everybody benefits from a well maintained area.

Charity Auction

The Parents Association of Ard Scoil Rath Iomghain would like to thank everybody who supported the Annual Auction on Sunday May 27. In excess of €3,000.00 was raised after expenses, which is down slightly on last year but a great result considering the times we are living in.
