Sympathy is extended to the family of Jack Galvin who died last week following a short illness. Jack is mourned by his wife Lily, son Paul, daughter Jane, daughter-in-law Linda, brothers and sisters, father in law Michael Corrigan and many relatives and friends. Jack’s funeral took place after 12noon Mass on April 16th 2012. May he rest in peace.

Congratulations to Sr. Margaret Whelan (Ballylaffin) who celebrated her 95th birthday in Australia last week, also Sr. Mary O’ Toole (Griffinstown) who celebrated her 80th birthday recently and Rev Joe Whittle who was 92 years young recently. May they have many more happy and healthy years.
The Next outing of the Dunlavin Inn Golf Society is to Tulfarris on April 28th 11.30-12.30.New members welcome. Matchplay draw has been made and is posted up on the notice board in the Inn. Games must be played by 24th of May 2012.
The newly formed writers group will meet in Meitheal on Saturday April 28th at 10.30 am. All welcome. Award winning writer Paddy O’ Byrne will attend.

Shave or Dye
Meitheal is hosting a shave or dye fundraiser on April 27th at 3pm in aid of cancer research. Anyone who sponsors Lisa can vote on the colour she dyes her hair, while Jeannie will go for the full shave. Please drop in and support this good cause.

Midlands Support Group-For Family and Friends Affected by Suicide. Our confidential support group, recently established in conjunction with HOPE(D) welcomes people from all areas in Kildare/ West Wicklow. We meet the first Wednesday of every month at Aras Building (beside Fas) Main Street Newbridge at 8pm.Our aim is to connect with people where members can share experiences, advice or just listen providing sympathetic understanding towards one another. For people who have lost a loved one to suicide and would like to connect with others who have gone through the same experience please feel free to come along.
