Confirmation in Edenderry
The Sacrament of Confirmation for boys and girls of the parish will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church on Saturday next, 28th April.
Edenderry Branch of Comhaltas are holding a Table Quiz in O’Donoghue’s Lounge on Thursday, 26th April at 9pm. All are welcome to the quiz.
Traditional Music Classes takes place at the Boys National School on Tuesday evenings. A wide range of musical instruments are catered for in the classes including Tin Whistle, Flute, Accordion, Mandolin, Banjo, Fiddle and Concertina.

Cubs and Scouts
The Edenderry Scouts and Cubs Groups are currently looking for Boys and Girls to join. The age group for the Cubs is 9 – 11 years and the Scouts is 12 – 15 years.
The Groups meet on a weekly basis at the Parish Centre. The times are; Cubs 6.30pm – 7.30pm; Scouts 7.45pm – 9pm.For further information please contact 085-7052517.
First Communion will take place on Saturday, 19th May for Scoil Bhride and Gaelscoil.
First Communion for the Boys National School and St. Mary’s Girls Primary Schools will take place on Saturday, 26th May.
Historical Society Annual Outing
The members of Edenderry Historical Society will be going on their Annual Outing to The Cavan Crystal Hotel, Cavan from Friday, 4th May - Sunday, 7th May. All are welcome.

Prayer Day with Eddie Stone
The Edenderry Prayer Group are travelling to Clonfert on Satuday next, 28th April for a day of prayer and healing with Eddie Stone. A bus will leave from O’Connell Square at 9am. For further information or to book a seat please contact 9731252.

The Farmers Market is now open on Thursdays & Fridays at Granary Court from 10am – 5pm. Included in the stalls are Italian Deli, Electronic Toys, Ladies Clothing, Sports Memorabilia, Plumbing & Hardware plus many more.
The Midlands Fibromyalgia Support Group holds meetings on the last Tuesday on every Month at the Day Care Centre, Arden Road, Tullamore at 8pm. The helpline is open on Tuesdays from 10am – 1pm, phone 1800 201068.
Personal Alarms & Smoke Alarms are available from the North Offaly Development Network to persons over the age of 65.

Ladies football Training
Indoor Football Training for all girls of 12 years of age and under takes place at St. Mary’s Secondary School Sports Hall on Friday evenings. All young girls are encouraged to come along for training in a safe, clean environment and also getting some exercise at the same time.
The times are, Girls under 12, 5pm – 6pm; Under 10’s & u.8’s, 6pm – 7pm
Badminton for adults takes place every Wednesday evening at St. Mary’s Secondary School Sports Hall at 8pm. New members and beginners are most welcome.
