North Star anniversary
This year the North Star Swimming Club looks forward to celebrating its 20th anniversary. The club organises swimming sessions for children and adults with disabilities at the pool in St Raphael’s on most Sundays. Swimmers attend the club from a North Kildare, West Dublin and as far south as Newbridge. Club organiser Valerie Haugh would like to reach out to the many members and volunteers past and present and ask them to make contact in this anniversary year.
“The club, its members and volunteers has changed a lot over the years”, she says, “and as a result contact with many people has been lost. There is a real need to raise the profile of the club in order to attract more volunteers, because without them the club would not still be running”.
If you would like to make contact, or become a new volunteer please contact Valerie at firstname.lastname@example.org
