NAAS gardai are investigating a number of burglaries.

Three houses off the Sallins Road, Naas, were targeted when items of equipment were taken from garden sheds last week.

A Belle-model concrete mixer was taken from a the back garden of house at Oldtown Crescent overnight on Thursday-Friday last (September 8-9). A garden shed at another house in the same area was forced open and a con-saw and welder, valued at a total of E1,000 were taken. Other equipment worth an additional E300 was also stolen.

At Oldtown Crescent a lawn mower and a bicycle were taken from a garden shed. All of the incidents took place around the same time.

A Dell lap top computer was taken from the back seat of a car parked at Old Chapel Grove, Caragh, on September 8-9 between 6pm and 7.30 am.

On September 6 a car was stolen from a house at Lacken View, the 07-KE registered car was stolen at about 1.10am after the keys were taken from inside the front door.

Two days later (September 8) the home of an elderly woman was entered at Pacelli Road between 8 and 11pm. There was no sign of a forced entry but a handbag containing Danish currency was taken.
