Teenagers from the Kilcullen and Newbridge No Name Clubs took part in the region six final of the No Name Club National Youth Awards, on Saturday February 5.

Teenagers from the Kilcullen and Newbridge No Name Clubs took part in the region six final of the No Name Club National Youth Awards, on Saturday February 5.

Kilcullen enjoyed success on the day when club host Jeremy Burke beat of competition from clubs from Dublin, Meath and Kildare to win the event’s karaoke competition.

The final was one of six to be held throughout the country, bringing hundreds of No Name Club teenagers together from all over the country.

Michael Kelly and Mercy Usaro were the representative host and hostess to go forward for Newbridge No Name Club and Ciara Pembroke and David Haden went forward on behalf of Kilcullen.

Supporting them on the day were teenage hosts and hostesses and adult committee members from their clubs, who made the journey from Kildare to Laurel Lodge Community Centre in Castleknock for the competition.

The four Kildare teenagers were complemented by the competition judges, saying each of their entries was of a very high standard and they should be very proud of how they represented their club, community and county.
