Get ready for Kildare County Show

With less than a week to go to the Kildare County Show on June 17 at the Showgrounds in Athy the count down is on writes Paula Campbell. As usual there will be attractions for all the family and with this year’s show landing on Fathers Day so there will be a special prize for the best dressed Dad on the day

With less than a week to go to the Kildare County Show on June 17 at the Showgrounds in Athy the count down is on writes Paula Campbell. As usual there will be attractions for all the family and with this year’s show landing on Fathers Day so there will be a special prize for the best dressed Dad on the day

For the kids thre will be African Drumming; the Journey Man Juggler; the petting zoo; pony rides; face painting; bouncing castles; carnival rides and Star Wars characters. There will be a display from the Defence Forces; a Vintage Army Display; Vintage Fire Brigade; Vintage Tractors and Trashing; Road Safety Display; Fire Safety Display; archery, milking, combine harvesters and for the ladies there will be the Style and Wedding Fair; Indoor Health Section; Indoor Trade Section; Farmers Market; Cookery Demo Flower, Craft and Home Produce Section along with performaces on the Clancy Music stage throughout.

Admissions only €5, children accompanied by an adult are free. Entry forms for the craft, flower and home produce section are available online at www.kildarecountyshow.ie or from the office at 7 Leinster Street, Athy.
