More time sought by Kilcock GAA on planning permission

Kilcock GAA Club has asked Kildare County Council to extend a planning permission granted in 2007.

The plans involve the construction of eight 20 metre high floodlights around the main pitch and for two synthetic surfaces to be placed on two adjoining pitches. Thomas O’Doherty submitted the plans in November 2006, acting as honorary secretary of the Branganstown club, and permission was granted in April 2007.

Now club chairman Padraig Casey and secretary Brian Connaughton have asked for the duration of the permission to be extended. A decision is due by 24 July.
