SALLINS rail station is among the worst located transport facilities of its kind anywhere.
That’s the view of local councillor Fintan Brett, who believes that much of the traffic congestion and parking problems can be attributed to the commuter rail station.
“If you were to go through any village in Ireland and pick the worst place for a rail station it would be Sallins,” Cllr. Fintan Brett told a Kildare County Council area meeting. He pointed out that it is difficult for people to drive into and out of the station.
“Also there is too much traffic going through Sallins on a daily basis and it cannot cope,” Cllr. Brett added.
