St Peters Boys National School have registered with The National Spring Clean as part of their Green Flag campaign. If you see the boys out and about picking up litter, feel free to lend a hand. Our u12 boys began their u12 league program in the go-games competition with a great performance against Athy on Thursday night.
The lads have only returned to training in recent weeks and already a very good skillful bunch of players are starting to form.
Our Senior kept their promising league form going on Saturday evening when they travelled to Rathcoffey and came away with the points on a scoreline of Ballykelly 1-8 Rathcoffey 1-8.
Training has been going well for the lads since they started back in early jan and this is being reflected in their performances to date. Well done lads.Our Senior ladies began their Division 2 league program on Tuesday evening with a defeat at home to a strong Carbury side.
The girls are working hard on the training fields and will be hoping to get back on track in the coming weeks.
Underage training has returned to the club.
Training times are as follows. U6, U8, and U10 boys and girls are in on fridays from 6-7pm. U12 boy and girls are in from 7-8:15.
Registration will take place on fridays during these times fro the next couple of weeks. If your new to the community why not call down to speak to our many coaches and have a look at our facilities.
You’ll be made very welcome with us. Our U14 boys team have qualified for the final of the Feile C shield when they saw off Castlemitchel in the semi final on Sunday morning in what was a very entertaining and sporting match.
They now go forward to play St Kevins in the final. Well done lads a very good start to the year for you. Our u10 girls have returned to action and played Ellsitown on Fri evening in a very entertaining and sporting game.
Both teams aquitted themselves really well and credit to both sets of players and mentors on the skills both sets of players showed. Trsining for this age group is every fri from 6-7pm
Ballykelly held their 2nd Easter camp during the hoildays. 56 children attended the 2 day camp in what was a great number for the low temperatures that week.
Many thanks to Katie, Roisin, Amy Lauren, Gary, Dean, Lee and Jack for working so hard over the two days.
