Work carried out at Graces Park
Cllr. Seamus Langan is delighted to see that work has taken place at Graces Park where problems were highlighted in The Leinster Leader some weeks ago.
The residents were up in arms at the conditions that their Estate was left by the developer, despite numerous requests no repair works took place.
Over a year ago, the contractor carried out some work on the sewerage system.
When the works was finished, a steel plate was placed over a trench at the entrance to the Estate and remained there until the Council staff moved in last week to rectify the situation and put things right.
The local County Council workers, under the Supervision of Mr. Michael Cronly this week carried out repair works at Graces Park and left the road surface in a much better and safer condition.
They removed the steel plate and filled-in the trench that was causing a lot of grief to the residents for over a year.
An open ditch that was a Health & Safety issue since the Estate was opened, was filled-in by the County Council workers last week.
This week Cllr. Langan thanked Mr. Cronly and the Council staff for the excellent work that they carried out at Graces Park.
