It’s been a busy year for the LBDC Community Alert Group. They continue to operate the successful text alert system for the four Rathangan townlands. They also supply personal alarms for older people. Stephen Whittle is in charge of the AED programme where 22 members regularly receive training on operating the defibrilator system. The annual sponsored walk, the clean up day and other events were held during the year. The committee would also like to thank Cllr. Fiona O’Loughlin for attending their regular meetings.
