Christmas Culture Café
West Wicklow Arts Network presents the Christmas Culture Cafe on Monday, December 10th in Davidstown Schoolhouse in the Glen of Imaal at 8p.m. Tea, coffee and chat and Christmas foodie treats as well.
Special guest, Kiltegan resident Haydn Price will share his passion for the work of Dylan Thomas and the renowned tale, ‘A Child’s Christmas in Wales’. It promises to be a magical evening. All are welcome.

GALA FLOWER EVENING WITH ENDA Donoughmore National School Parent’s Association have invited Enda Carmody, Mimosa Flower Shop, Blessington to give a seasonal demonstration in Donoughmore Hall, Glen of Imaal on Thursday 13th December at 8 pm. Jonathan Swift School
The new pedestrian pathway to the school was officially opened on Tuesday 27th Nov.
The opening ceremony was performed by Mrs Rachel Merry. The pathway is to be called ‘The Merry Way’ in memory of Mr Gordon Merry, a great friend of Jonathan Swift N.S who passed away last year. A granite seat in his memory was also unveiled. Mrs Merry has made a generous contribution to this venture.
A large crowd of parents, former pupils and friends attended the ceremony at 12 noon on the day. The children and teachers walked from the ‘Park and Stride’ area in front of the church to ‘The Merry Way’.
Mr Colin Barrett, Chairperson of the BOM and the Principal, Mary Tyrrell, thanked all who were involved in this successful venture. ‘

The Dunlavin &District Forum Christmas Lights Ceremony will take place on Saturday December 8th at 5pm at the Market House. All welcome to come along and join in some Christmas Carols.
Sympathy is extended to the Brophy family on the death of Jim after a long illness. Jim who was predeceased by his daughter Amanda is mourned by his wife Kay, daughter Jacqueline, sons Paul and Raymond, sisters Jean and Mary, brothers Mick, Pat, Brendan, Sean and Des and many relatives and friends.
Jim’s funeral took place in Dunlavin on Nov 21. May Jim rest in peace.
