Newbridge Community Symposium evening

The Community Symposium evening hosted by Newbridge Credit Union and Newbridge Bad Lippspringe Twinning on Thursday, May 17, has been hailed as a great success and was attended by members of local clubs and organisations.

The Community Symposium evening hosted by Newbridge Credit Union and Newbridge Bad Lippspringe Twinning on Thursday, May 17, has been hailed as a great success and was attended by members of local clubs and organisations.

Twinning chairperson, Claire Doyle welcomed everyone and introduced Credit Union chairperson, Ben Donnelly who hosted the event and pledged their continued support to local clubs and charities.

This was followed by an address from Niall Hughes of Connect Ireland who gave details of their work in encouraging companies/individuals to locate and expand in this country.

The screening of the Newbridge Promotional DVD then took place and the groups were given time to detail their work.

Contributions were also made by Mayor Damian Molyneaux and Chamber President, Con McNamara, who outlined their endeavours in sourcing industry and more employment in Newbridge.

Peter O Neill gave a brief history of the successful Bad Lippspringe Twinning initiative which is thriving and now in it’s 15th year.
