From rucking to rumba for Naas RFC

Strictly Come Dancing, Naas-style, is coming to Kildare for the very first time courtesy of Naas Rugby Club.

Strictly Come Dancing, Naas-style, is coming to Kildare for the very first time courtesy of Naas Rugby Club.

This exciting dance event will bring together 26 sports, business and community personalities from Naas and nearby, who will swap their rugby gear for feather boas and dancing shoes on the June Bank Holiday weekend.

The participants will be put through theirpaces by professional dancers lead by Leah Moran of Leah Moran Stage School over the next six weeks until they are ready to woo the crowd with their fancy footwork at the fundraising dance spectacular in Killashee House Hotel on Sunday, June 3.

The names of the 26 brave twinkle-toed participants will be announced shortly.

Rory Larkin, Vice-President of Naas RFC and MD of RFL Steels said: “Naas Rugby Club is delighted to be bringing thisexciting event to Kildare in the year that the club is celebrating 90 years in the community.”
