The third annual Run Kildare event, comprising of a 10k, a half marathon and a full marathon will take place this year on Sunday May 13.
To date there are close to 2,000 runners already confirmed for the event, which will set off from the Curragh racecourse. The run was officially launched on Friday last with sponsors Woodies DIY.
“In addition to our charity and local community support, we have set up a fund with the Kildare County Board Athletics Association to develop young Kildare athletes so they can reach their true potential through coaching and development,” “said PRO Finnuala Finnegan. “We have donated €2,000 to date. We hope our events inspire young athletes to become the long distance running champions of the future.”
