Taoiseach to launch Kildare strategy plan at Punchestown
An Taoiseach Enda Kenny is expected at the Punchestown festival next Thursday afternoon to launch North Kildare Chamber’s strategic plan for the county.
Work on the plan has been ongoing over the past year, and those involved have included representatives from the local authorities and businesses from multinationals to SMEs.
“After several months of hard work with all the key stakeholders in Kildare, I am really delighted that we are now launching our plan,” commented Eilis Quinlan, Chamber President.
The plan is expected to encompass many areas, including business, tourism, education and services in the country. It is expected to be a practical plan, laying out a number of clear and measurable projects with specific timeframes expected for their delivery.
“A huge range of businesses in Kildare have been involved in creating the plan and we are all committed to completing and implementing it. These include Bord na Mona, Carton House, Kildare Village, Hewlett Packard and Pfizer, side by side with many smaller and local entities,” said Ms Quinlan.
