Kildare properties in Allsop auction

Two Kildare properties are in the catalogue for the next Allsop Space auction to be held on 3 October. The autumn distressed property auction will be the biggest yet with 127 lots from around the country, 60 per cent of which are residential.

A three bedroom semi-detached house at 39 Rathcurragh, Newbridge and a two storey retail unit at 1 Nugent Street, Kildare Town are the only Kildare properties.

The Newbridge house, located south west of the town centre, has a reserve price that will not exceed € 75,000. The retail unit, previously used as a furniture store, has a reserve of €90,000. It contains 1,539 sq ft of retail space with a storage area of 1,928 sq ft divided between the ground and first floors.

At the last Allsop Space auction in July, White’s Castle in Athy was one of the highlights. With a reserve price of €50,000, the 15th century castle eventually sold to a Galway family for €195,000.

Four other Kildare properties, all residential, exceeded their reserve prices, with two neighbouring houses in Powell Court, Newbridge each at least doubling their reserves.

The next Allsop Space auction starts at 10am on Wednesday 3 October in the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin.
