Kildare County Council does not have a solution for the flooding that occurs under the railway bridge near Bishopsland in Kildare Town.
Cllr Francis Browne, who raised the issue at a meeting of the Kildare Area Committee last week, said that pedestrians were getting splashed as they pass under the bridge. Cllr Suzanne Doyle stated that the bridge could be “insurpassable at times for pedestrians” even if they were wearing wellingtons or waders. She asked if there were any engineering solutions to the problem. The council will monitor the situation to see if a solution can be found.
