The American Chamber of Commerce Ireland has congratulated Intel on its 25th anniversary in Ireland and its progress in its $5 billion campus upgrade.
Speaking on the announcement, American Chamber Chief Executive, Mark Redmond said, “Ireland has developed a well-deserved reputation as a leading location worldwide for ICT investment. This reputation has been fostered by the tremendous success of companies such as Intel. The company’s decision to invest $5 billion in Ireland is a further endorsement of this reputation and Ireland as a location for business. The trust Intel has shown in Ireland is also a testament to the quality of their team in Ireland, all of whom should be congratulated.”
“Intel is the latest of many US companies that have announced investments in Ireland,” stated Redmond. “The 700 US companies play a vital role in Ireland’s economy, employing 115,000 directly, and have a total investment in Ireland of $204 billion.”
