Maynooth Community Council was delighted with the public turnout at the Harvest Festival events over the weekend.
Weather served the organisers well, and spokesperson, Susan Durack, described it as a “great success.”
The Sunday events at the Harbour were particularly well attended, with a dog show and pony ride attracting large crowds.
There were also big crowds for music in the Square on Sunday.
The Festival began earlier than usual with events on Friday and among other events, 28 teams took part in the school quiz.
A Taste of Maynooth raffle, run in conjunction with local resturants saw local man, Damien Guest, emerge as winner of good meals during the next year or so.
Music groups such as Route 66, the Jazz Freaks, P9und Lane, Lemon and the Maynooth Brass and Reed band added to the atmosphere.
The Geraldine Castle specially opened for the festiva. Ms. Durack thanked all the volunteers and people who had helped out.
