Clane Musical Society will stage its next production, ‘Wyrd Sisters’, from Wednesday, April 3 to Saturday, April 6 in the Abbey Clane at 8pm nightly.

Clane Musical Society will stage its next production, ‘Wyrd Sisters’, from Wednesday, April 3 to Saturday, April 6 in the Abbey Clane at 8pm nightly.

This is an amateur production of ‘Wyrd Sisters’ by Terry Pratchett, which has been adapted by Stephen Briggs.

Sadie O’Reilly is directing this production which has a cast of 21.

Wyrd Sisters features three witches. Granny Weatherwax will be played by Áine Grace, Nanny Ogg will be played by Fiona White and Magrat Garlick, the junior witch, will be played by Michelle Flannery.

The witches are joined on stage by the Clane local Dessie Marron who plays the part of Chamberlain.

Lord and Lady Felmet will be played by familiar faces on the Abbey Stage Martin Fahy and Elaine Moore O’Donohoe.

Vinny O’Shaughnessy is playing the fool and King Verence is being played by Andy Kelly. Val Brennan and Nuala Kelly are playing Mr and Mrs Vitoller.

The sergeant will be played by Anne Kelly.

Eric Nolan plays Hewel and Michael Doyle is one of the players.

Our cast will be joined by pupils from Scoil Mhuire in Clane.

Tomjon is being played by Paddy Jordan, Demon by Harry Quinn, Bedlin by Evan McGarr, Wimsloe by Ryan Sullivan, the players by Sarah Houlihan, Roisin Chapman and Alison Egan.

In addition to being stage manager Mel McGarr is playing the part of a peasant and a play witch.

Wyrd sisters is a comedy which is loosely based on Macbeth and promises to be a great night of entertainment.
