The world-famous Bolshoi Ballet’s performance of La Bayadere will be streamed live from Moscow to the Riverbank next Sunday afternoon.
The ballet, in three acts, is an exotic story of love and intrigue, set in India. It tells the story of a young temple dancer, Nikiya, who swears her love to a young warrior.
The High Brahmin wants Nikiya for himself, and tells the all-powerful Rajah about the affair. The Rajah, in turn, had decided the warrior would marry his own daughter, so the scene is set for a deadly intervention.
The show starts at 3pm next Sunday, January 27, and lasts for 3 hours, 30 minutes, including two intervals.
Tickets normally cost €20, but the Leinster Leader has teamed up with the Riverbank to offer its readers half price admission.
Mention the Leinster Leader when booking, and your ticket will cost just €E10.
You’ll also get a chance to let us know what you think about the performance as we’ll be there to hear your reviews.
Tickets can be booked at the Riverbank Box Office at 045 448327.
