Castletown House in Celbridge will throw open its doors for its first Big House festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

The full programme schedule was unveiled last week and will featureover 50 events happening each day of the festival from August 3 to 5, from the worlds of music, theatre, visual arts and dance. Up to 2,000 daily visitors expected to attend.

“The 300-year-old house is fully open for all to explore and plays an important role in the festival, creating a uniquely beautiful site,” said director Jo Mangan.

Early bird tickets sold out within 10 days of going on sale. Full day tickets are now available from €22.50 with family value tickets on sale for €45.
