Scoil Rince Chill Dara has trained dancers of all ages and levels for almost 30 years, under the direction of highly qualified and experienced teachers, Carmel Somers, Alan McCormack, Nicola Behan and Nick O’Connell.
An exciting development in 2012 was the opening of its own studio at Tougher’s Business Park, Naas.
“Students are trained to develop strength and endurance with emphasis on technique, style and posture. We cater for every level of dancer from those that attend once a week for fun to those who attend several times a week for competitive dancing. We welcome boys and girls from three years of age upwards. Classes are available throughout Kildare and run from September to June each year,” said a spokesperson.
“As a result of the dedication of the teachers, trainee teachers and dancers alike - we are one of the most successful schools in Leinster with numerous titles including South Leinster, Leinster, All Ireland and World Championships under our belt in both solo and team events. The dancers now travel to Killarney at Easter to defend their World Title and hopefully add a few more!”
The Leader will keep you posted on how they get on.
