THE Insight Theatre Group in Celbridge is staging a number of one act plays over the next couple of weeks.
After a successful “ Readings for Fun” for in July where it had participants from not alone Insight but friends from other drama groups in north Kildare and Lucan, Insight has chosen “A Ghost Story” by John Pielmeier, directed by award winning Joe Canavan for the One- Act festival circuit.
The Group’s autumn production will include “My Narrator” by Norm Foster, directed by Mick Giblin and “On the Outside” by Tom Murphy directed by Joe Bergin. The plays will run from 16-19 October and 23-26 October at the Kildrought Lounge Celbridge at 8.00pm.
Spokesperson, Eugene Molumby said the group will enter the full length Festival for Spring 2014. It has chosen “Blood Relations” by Sharon Pollock, directed by Bill Elliffe.

Set in 1959 “ On the Outside” deals with the plight of two young friends are on the outside of society in a class ridden Ireland. This is a humourous bitter sweet play about a time when there was a greater distinction between the haves and have nots.
