Naas soprano to feature at final mass

Renowned Naas soprano Celine Byrne, who is currently making a splash on the Covent Garden stage in London, will join Fr Liam Lawton, the RTE Concert Orchestra and international trio The Priests performing at the International Eucharistic Congress closing ceremony next Sunday afternoon.

Renowned Naas soprano Celine Byrne, who is currently making a splash on the Covent Garden stage in London, will join Fr Liam Lawton, the RTE Concert Orchestra and international trio The Priests performing at the International Eucharistic Congress closing ceremony next Sunday afternoon.

Ms Byrne who has performed with the world’s best orchestras and conductors in venues as prestigious as Covent Garden and Carnegie Hall said: “My faith means a lot to me and to be invited to participate in the International Eucharist Congress is both an honour and a blessing for which I am grateful.”

The event will be broadcast live on RTE and will be hosted by RTE personalities Joe Duffy and Eileen Dunne. It will start at 1pm and run until 5.15pm.

The Maynooth Gospel Choir were among those who featured during last Sunday’s opening ceremony in the RDS, along with the The Three Tenors will perform at the opening ceremony in the RDS, along with the Palestrina Choir, Our Lady of Victories Choir and many more.
