Ms. Dunne has prepared many quiz teams over the years and is aware of the hours of hard work put in by the boys and their parents.

The annual event, now in its 22nd year has become a highlight of the school calendar, attracting over 25,000 participants in over 300 venues throughout the 32 counties.

Speaking at the RDS, President of the ILCU Jimmy Johnstone said: “Many of the children involved, along with their parents and teachers, have put in a huge amount of work for this event. Congratulations to the winners – it was closely fought at the end.

“Over the past 22 years we have continued to support the quiz to help stimulate children’s natural curiosity,” he added.
