Luka Bloom at Venice festival

Monasterevin Venice of Ireland Festival committee is delighted to announce that the Festival Grand Finale Concert will feature the renowned singer songwriter, Kildare’s own Luka Bloom. Luka’s new record This New Morning will be launched at the concert which will be held on Sunday 22nd July in the Baronial Hall, Moore Abbey, Monasterevin.

“Though the kind support and permission of the Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary, the festival committee is delighted to be able to host the Festival Concert at the magnificent Baronial Hall in Moore Abbey” says festival chairman Dan Carmody “ and this year having our own native artist Luka Bloom makes a very special event”

The Baronial Hall is part of the Moore Abbey house which was the former home of the Tenor John Count McCormack which still houses the tenor’s piano. The Hall is an excellent venue for the annual festival concerts.

“I am very excited to be coming to Monasterevin for the first time, and am honoured to have the opportunity to launch of my new record This New Morning during The Monasterevin Venice of Ireland Festival week” says Luka.
