The 4th Annual Leinster Entertainment Awards will take place on Monday, 14th April in Killashee House Hotel, Naas.
Among the award winners and performers on the night will be Celine Byrne, Mike Denver, Lousie Morrissey, Red Hurley, Robert Mizzell, Patrick Feeney, Charlie McGettigan, The Willoughby Brothers and many, many more.
The local country music scene is well represented by Mary D’Arcy, formerly of Two’s Company and The Whole Hog Band from Blessington.
One of the local newcomers taking to the stage on the night is Newbridge woman Bernie Heaney.
Bernie is the grand-daughter of the late Pat Tiernan who was a well-known local coal merchant.
She has been gigging on the local pub scene for the past number of years, and is planning to release an album in the near future.
She also recently won a country star search competition organised by Dublin’s Sunshine FM radio, and subsequently opened a show for Roly Daniels in the Red Cow.
The Irish dancers from Leinster Academy of Dance in Newbridge will add to the colourful spectacle of this special gala night and music throughout the night will be provided by The Conquerors.
The Leinster Entertainment Awards were first launched in April 2011 to great acclaim.
These awards recognise and honour the achievements of many of the great entertainers of the Irish and International stage.
