MEMBERS of a local writers group feature in the recently launched Third Seven Towers Anthonogy – Census 3.

The launch took place at the Irish Writers Centre.

The four are members of Clane Writers Group feature - Dominic Colgan (short story), Eileen Keane (short story), John Martin, (short story) and Lilian Webb, Naas (memoir). Another Naas resident Ines Dillon also has poetry included.

The group formed out of a group of people who attended the creative writing course, led by Ann Egan in Scoil Mhuire, Clane, who wanted to continue to meet. The group published a book, edited by Ms. Egan “Kildare Ways” in 2003. Some of the original members still meet and others have joined the group. Last year, within a week in May, two members had books launched - Olive Collins “Lucinda’s List” and Debbit Thomas “Dead Hairy”.

“Census 3” is the Third Seven Towers Anthology, which is a result of contributors having read at Open Mic sessions organised by Seven Towers in New York, London and Dublin and for the first time includes the Open Mic sessions held in Newbridge, organised by The Clane Writers Group, which have been attended by Seven Towers.
