Laois-based author and paranormal investigator Cormac Strain is looking for Kildare people to share their ghost stories.
He would love to finish his book “Haunted Kildare.”
“I’ve basically been given the go ahead to do any haunted counties I wish by History Press Ireland, but I decided to focus on Kildare and Tyrone,” explained Strain. “So far Kildare has been a bit of a whitewash,” he added. “ I’ve only uncovered two or three decent, newish Kildare ghost stories.”
Strain is founder of Leinster Paranormal, a research group based in Carlow. “At Leinster Paranormal we aren’t really the kind of people who jump at shadows or claim everything is a ghost,” Cormac explained. “We tend to develop theories and then try and test them. A lot of the time this involves trying to create the instrumentation and equipment to record the data, but thats part of the fun.”
