Book enthusiasts young and old are invited to go on a journey through the magical world of children’s stories at Athy Heritage Centre/Museum this month.

Ireland is a country of stories and storytellers. Over the years the stories that have been written down have made their home on the shelves of the National Library of Ireland. In the Tall Tales and Deadly Drawings exhibition, you will find some of the books you love to read – last week or long ago - and meet books you have yet to enjoy.

The exhibition consists of 10 banner stands and a discovery box containing hands-on learning materials and activities. The exhibition is open to primary school students at a reduced rate, which will include workshop and activities, of €1 per student. There will be a further reduction in fee for groups of over 30 students.

The exhibition is being hosted by the Athy Heritage Centre for the month of March. For more information and bookings contact Athy Heritage-Museum on 059 8633075 or email athyheritage@eircom.net.
