Drama and song at the Moat Theatre this week

John MacKenna's Corner Boys

There’s a packed programme of entertainment ahead at the Moat Theatre in Naas this week.

Thursday, April 28, brings Sean Keane back to The Moat for one night only.

The singer-songwriter has been busy touring with his sister Dolores and did some concerts with his brothers, Matt, Noel and Pat.

He performed recently as part of the Centenary concert celebrations on RTE, singing Wrap the Green Flag Around Me Boys.

He will be joined at the Moat Theatre by Pat Coyne and Fergus Feely.

MacKenna play

Mend & Make Do are coming to the theatre after a sell out shows of their production Corner Boys by John MacKenna.

John’s production of Lucinda Sly was a success in The Moat and if you are a fan of the Athy man’s work you would certainly not want to miss out on this.

Set in 1963, this powerful play exposes the light and dark sides of Irish life in the sixties.

Ten years after the same director Marian Brophy brought it to stage, sheis back to hopefully do it justice again on Friday April 29.
