Brave Kilcock dancers take to the Raptures floor

Kilcock Musical & Dramatic Society (KMDS) and Kilcock Celtic FC (KCFC) launched a Strictly Come Dancing event which will take place on Saturday week.

Kilcock Musical & Dramatic Society (KMDS) and Kilcock Celtic FC (KCFC) launched a Strictly Come Dancing event which will take place on Saturday week.

The event, which is being organised by the Kilcock clubs with the assistance of Colin Hughes and his team at Colin Hughes Promotions, will take place in Rapture Venue, Hamlet Court Hotel, Johnstownbridge, Enfield on Saturday night 12 October.

The event was launched on 13 September,

Sharon Murphy and Ger Lynch (Chairperson’s of the respective clubs) thanked dancers, choreographers and the committees of both clubs for their hard work so far.

But there was some initial hesitation in recruitment.

Nevertheless thirteen brave couples have agreed will take to the stage.

Each dancer has agreed to secure sponsorship and sell a set number of tickets and that the clubs are hugely indebted to them for their efforts and enthusiasm. Training is now underway with Naas choreographer, Deirdre Browne, and Denise Donohue (Dublin), to prepare the dancers who will undertake a variety of dances. Two group will also perform on the night.
