Last Saturday, Top Twenty in the Dunnes Stores Shopping Centre, marked the international ‘Record Store Day’ with a series of free live performances.
The independent music store, which also has a branch in Naas, has been operating in Newbridge for the last 25 years. This is the first time that ‘Record Store Day’ was marked in Newbridge.
“It is a day held every year in recognition of local independent record shops,” said Andrew O’Donnell of Top Twenty.
“We have been in Newbridge for the past 25 years. We are struggling the same as everyone else. We have introduced a new line in musical instrument accessories and we hope that will go well.”
