In her chairperson's address Aisling Treacy thanked a number of people; Patricia Doyle for her help given to the chairperson and managing the Senior team. Liam Dunne and Sean Murphy for their work with the Senior team helping to bring off the League
and Championship double and getting to the Leinster Club Final, Liz and James Byrne for sponsoring new jerseys and Dan Lawler for sponsoring skirts.
Thanks to the GAA for the use of their facilities and pitches and congratulations to the footballers on winning the County Final. Thanks also to fellow officers Bernie Flynn, secretary, Brenda Tallon, treasurer and Dermot Breen, PRO for their great work and assistance during the year.
Aisling also noted that this year is the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Camogie Club and a number of events will be held to mark the year. A sub committee was formed to plan these events.
Thanks to the underage mentors, and all the parents who helped out over the year. A meeting will be held later to sort out arrangements for the underage teams for the coming season.
Club secretary Bernie Flynn reported a successful year on the playing pitch as apart from the success of the Seniors there was much success at underage as the U9s took part in the Go Games. Six of our senior players Mel Treacy, Niamh Breen, Carol Nolan, Ciara Tallon, Paula Keatley, and Reiltin Treacy represented the club on the county team that won the Division 4 National League.
Special congratulations to Niamh Breen on being chosen for the Ireland Camogie team that defeated Scotland in the Camogie/Shinty international in Inverness.
Well done to all the Club players who played on county teams at underage and senior level.
Officers elected: chairperson Aisling Treacy, vice chairperson Patricia Keatley, secretary Ciara Tallon, assistant secretary Emma Dunne, treasurer Brenda Tallon, assistant treasurer Mel Treacy and PRO Dermot Breen. Both chairperson and secretary expressed their hopes for a successful season in 2010.
Underage Presentation Night
The successful underage players were presented with their medals at a very enjoyable presentation night on Friday last January 22. Medals were presented by clubmate Niamh Breen, captain of the Kildare camogie team who encouraged the girls to keep up their commitment to camogie and to enjoy playing the game for the satisfaction it brings and the lasting friendships that it builds up.
The large number of medals presented reflects a very successful year for the club as the U11's won the Division 2 Cup, U12's won Division 2 Shield, U13 won Division 1 Cup, U16 won Division 2 Cup.

DINNER DANCE
The GAA Dinner Dance takes place on Saturday February 13 in the club house.

GOLF SOCIETY
The next outing of the St Laurence's Golf Society will take place on Sunday January 31, at Castle Warden, and the Tee Time 11:30am-1:00pm.
HUMPTY DUMPTY CLUB

Sunday February 7, 12-4pm:- Allotment/gardening club information open day (no charge) Come and see our organic allotments. Let us show you around and explain how our allotment packages work. See our facilities and have questions answered. The Castlefarm gardening club meet once a month. It will give information and support and will also provide people with an opportunity to share their stories of success and lessons learned. It is aimed at supporting everyone from the novice to the experienced gardener and is a chance to meet people with the same interest. You can even choose your own plot on the day.

Jenny will give allotment holders and gardening club members some practical help and advice on how to plan their plots. This will also address the principles of organic growing – something that will be very useful to first time and experienced growers. This will be free of charge.
Castlefarm organic allotments were launched in 2009 with 30 allotments rented for the year. Our allotments are rabbit proofed, set up with regular water outlets and farmyard manure is supplied free of charge. Allotment holders also have access to a shed, picnic tables and toilet. BALLYTORE PILGRIMAGE/HOLIDAY 2010.
This year the Parish Pilgrimage will take place from August 18-25, travelling to Oberammergau in the heart of the Bavarian Alps for the 41st performance of the Passion Play. They will have an overnight stay in Oberammergau for one night on a full board basis. They will have a two night stay in Munich, a three nights stay in Vienna and one night in Salzburg. All hotels are on a full board basis. The cost is N1,550 fully inclusive and includes return flights, all hotels on a full board basis, Coach transfers and travel as per itinerary, admission to Passion Play, museum and programme book, Irish guide with group, tips for hotels and coach driver, Airport and local taxes, and Insurance. A single room supplement will cost an extra N220 for six nights.
The Passion Play in Oberammergau, Germany is held at the beginning of every decade, and approximately 2,000 inhabitants take part in this five hour epic depicting the story of Christ's passion beginning with His entry to Jerusalem and ending with the Resurrection and transfiguration. The Passion Play was first performed in 1634 and the people of Oberammergau made a vow to perform a Passion Play every ten years if God spared them from the bubonic plague (15,000 people perished in Munich alone as a result of this plague). This event draws hundreds of thousands of pilgrims every ten years. The Play is performed in German and English translations are available.

CROOKSTOWN MILLVIEW ATHLETIC CLUB
Crookstown Millview Athletic Club is a small friendly but very successful athletic club with a very personal touch. It is located at Pike's Bridge, Narraghmore. At present we are looking for new members to join our club to help maintain its standing as one of Kildare's finest Athletics Club.
Training takes place on Mondays and Wednesday nights. On Monday night it is held in the Arch, Athy during the winter months and will continue there up to and including March 15 from 7.30pm to 9pm. Monday nights are for all athletes. (including Little Athletics from 7.30-8.30pm)
Wednesday night training is at our track in Pikes Bridge, Narraghmore and is for children over the age of nine, and includes all Track and Field disciplines such as sprinting, middle distance, javelin, hammer, shot putt and long jump.

Little Athletics is for children between the ages of 6 and 9 and is designed as a fun and exciting way for children to become involved in athletics.
