NAAS AFC is trying to assemble an Over 35 team to play in a league competition which will start next April.

The club is community based with over 400 members, 18 under age teams and 22 years of history – and a successful track record with FAI and Uefa qualified volunteer coaches.

Naas AFC also hosts an academy every Saturday afternoon in the Caragh Road sports complex. The club also has a senior ladies team.

Membership of the proposed Over 35 side is open to all and you don’t have to coach or be a parent of an underage player at Naas.

“All shapes and sizes and skill levels too. We are taking this seriously but this is about forging friendships, getting fit, having some fun and well, lets face it, giving ourselves one last excuse to buy a pair of boots and lace them up and take to the field,” said PRO Des Balmer.

The club recently got to the semi final of the Ballymore Eustace 5 a side fund raising tournament and also participated in a 5-a-side event in Portarlington.

Next year Naas AFC plans an inaugural annual underage tournament.
