Noeleen Eiffe, Chairperson of the St Patricks Church Choir handed the cheque to Philomena Stokes, on behalf of the Society of St Vincent de Paul, local conference.

Fr Kevin Doherty CC and members of the St. Patricks Church Choir attended the presentation.

The donation was raised through the sales of the Christmas CD “O Holy Night.”

The CD was a joint venture involving The Lucan Community School Chamber Choir and St Patricks Church Choir under their musical director, Ciaran Duffy.

Also featured on the CD were The County Kildare Orchestra and the choir of St Thomas’s National School Lucan.

Similiar donations were also made to the Lucan Community School and St Patricks Church, Celbridge.

Dermot Fitzpatrick, a spokesperson for the choir, thanked everybody who bought the CD ‘O Holy Night’ and all the shops and businesses that stocked and sold the music. “It is with this support that we have been able to make the donation to the Society of St Vincent de Paul and other benefactors,” he said.
