Naas Rugby Club’s Strictly Come Dancers revealed

The crew of local sports, community and business figures who taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser for Naas Rugby Club in Killashee House on June 3 can finally be revealed, writes Paul O’Meara.

They come from a variety of backgrounds and many are mums and dads.

They are: Andrew Cross, owner of Cross’s Centra; Andy Shirley; Damien Ward, owner of Murphy Mullan Ward estate agents; Fergal Dunne, proprietor of Haydens pub; Fintan Flannelly, owner of V&F Town and Country; Fran Mahon, former sergeant in the Army Band; Ian Kelly, regional sales manager for a UK multinational,; John O’Brien of Brady’s ham and rugby player; Johnny Delaney,; Mick Dempsey, Director of Rugby at Naas RFC; Paul Stapleton, Chairman of Naas RFC; Ross Murphy, Sales Manager at Capitol Oil; Shane Roe, Coach; Willie Downey, Coach; Amy Barrett, pharmacy technician; Ann Larkin; Aoife Finan, teacher; Avril Finlay; Catherine Dempsey, radiographer ; Catriona Lawlor, Old House Kill; Geraldine Fitzsimons, ; Jackie Ronaldson; Josephine Bolger, Naas RFC club person of the year 2011; Kate Ryan, Naas Cobras Volleyball Club; Kristine Byrne; Linda Owens; Nikki Gallagher, Head of Communications at the Ombudsman for Children’s Office; Mary Healy, Director at Dooley Insurance.

The dancers have been paired up and allocated their specific dances with which they will woo the crowd on the June Bank Holiday weekend. They are being put through their paces by professional dancers lead by Leah Moran of Leah Moran Stage School.
