Naas dancers raise money for Crumlin

A recent visit to Our Lady’s Hosptial for Sick Children in Crumlin inspired Naas based fitness instructor Grainne Dempsey to organise a charity event in aid of the hospital.

Grainne’s young niece Sophia suffers from a rare heart condition and while visiting the hospital that Grainne got the idea to host a ‘Zumbathon’ with all proceeds going to the cardiac unit at the National Children’s Hospital.

Grainne who is also a qualified ‘Zumba Fitness’ instructor hosted the event at St Kevin’s Community Centre in Blessington and the total amount raised was €1642. The monies will go towards much needed equipment at the hospital.
