Busy mum of one, businesswoman, and wife of Irish champion jockey Ruby Walsh, Gillian Doran, tells the Leinster Leader about her fashion favourites, her style motto and why fake tan is fine in moderation........

Describe your style in five words!

A classic dresser who loves accessories, especially jewellery.

Where's your favourite place to shop and why?

Elaine Curtis Boutique in Carlow, because I always find something I like there.

Who is your all-time style icon and why?

Jennifer Aniston. Whether it's on the red carpet or just a casual look, she never gets it wrong.

What was your best fashion buy...?

A cream Valentino winter coat that I bought in a 70% off sale-I've worn it to death!

... and your worst style disaster?

A pair of tartan flares - at the time I thought they were fabulous...

What's the most you've ever spent on clothes/jewellery/beauty products, and do you regret it or was it totally worth it?My silk and lace wedding dress - you only get to wear it once but it was totally worth it.

What beauty item could you not leave the house without?

MAC bronzer-it gives my face an instant lift.

Describe your debs dress to us, if you can remember it!

It was a short blue/green sequins number. I bought it in Monsoon and I absolutely loved it. I was a big Princess Diana fan and thought it was similar to a dress she had worn at the time!

Fake tan - are you a fan?

Yes but in moderation - I steer clear of anything with orange tones.

What item are you going to invest in for Spring/Summer?

I'm keeping my eye out for a really nice mac - so handy for summer racing.

Shoes or handbags - which are your greatest weakness?

Handbags at the moment - I love the clutch although it's not very practical

What's your recession tips for looking good?

Pull out some of your old classic's and bring them up to date with some fashionable accessories

And lastly, what's your style motto?

If you look good,you feel good.
