Delorentos, Bressie, Damien Dempsey, Ryan Sheridan and Smash Hits 90’s Band have been confirmed as the headline gigs in the Court Yard Hotel.

The events will take place this June Bank Holiday weekend as part of the 23rd Salmon Leap Festival, which runs from 31st May – 4th June.

While the five-day community festival features a variety of arts, crafts, sports and all-round family entertainment, the event also has a strong rock and roll flavour and Laura Moriarty of the Court Yard Hotel says she expects a lively bank holiday weekend.

“Leixlip Festival weekend is probably our busiest period of the year and definitely the most fun,” she said. “There’s always a fantastic buzz around the town, and I would highlight that the festival has been due to the efforts put in as a community.

“This year we have a mix of up-and-comers like Hogan Band, Blue Moose and Big Generator along with A-list legends like Damien Dempsey and Ryan Sheridan” she said. “We have also lined up a number of great afternoon sessions with popular local bands. Winner of the Battle of the Bands will play Saturday evening 5pm – 6.30pm.

Delorentos will play on Thursday, May 31, with Bressie playing on the Friday, Damien Dempsey on the Saturday, Ryan Sheridan on the Sunday and Smash Hits 90s Band on the Monday.

The Court Yard Hotel’s Battle of the Bands contest will come to a head on the Saturday night, with the final of the long-running competition taking place before Damien Dempsey takes to the stage.
