A group of Clane men, all customers of Manzor’s pub, raised E4,000 for research into prostate cancer as part of Movember.

A total of 30 took part with the aim of raising awareness of men’s health issues.

The group got a huge amount of local support and there was a large attendance for a tea time party celebration and a cheque presentation.

“We would like to thank everybody who helped in any way and especially those who donated money. It took place in memory of the Tony Meehan who passed away less than a year ago and was known to all of us,” organiser Paul Dunne, manager at Manzor’s, told the Leader.
