The annual Eadestown Field Day survived the inclement weather on Sunday, September 4.
The event takes place around this time of the year on an annual basis and is well supported, which is testament to the strength of community spirit in Eadestown - despite the alternative attraction of the All-Ireland hurling final.
The event is a fundraiser for the parish, which unlike most of the rest of County Kildare is part of the Archdiocese of Dublin.
The event has a strong equestrian theme with pony and horse competitions but there were other attractions too. These included a wheel of fortune and a cake competition.
There was also a cake sale, a book sale, a plant sale and a scarecrow competition.
