Kiddies Halloween Disco

Scooters Youth Club have organised a Kiddies Halloween Disco this Saturday October 27 from 2 to 5pm in the Community Centre. This is a disco with a difference as those attending are asked to come in Halloween Fancy Dress, (including parents). There will be games music and fun, admission is €2 per child and proceeds are in aid of the Community Centre Development Fund.

GAA Weekend Away

Rathangan GAA are travelling on a weekend away on November 2 and 3 staying at the Tower Hotel, Waterford. There is an opitional extra of a round of Golf for only €20 at the beautiful Faithlegg Golf Resort and a 10% discount at the Tower Hotel Spa. For details contact Larry Curtin at 086 8408895.

Autumn Pleasures

A visit to the National Botanic Gardens, a the present time, is one of the pleasures of Autumn, (and it is free) particularly if you have a free travel pass.

The number 4 bus from O’Connell St will bring you to the gates where you can spend hours enjoying the beauty of the changing seasons, and plants and trees from every corner of the world.

Heather Kelly was 1st Lady at the recent fortnightly Whist in the Old School House, 2nd Lady Sheila Cunningham. 1st Gent Francis Larkin, 2nd Gent Noel Kelly and John Bracken. 1st Quarter Peg Higgins, 2nd Quarter Elizabeth Birch, 3rd Quarter Michael Pitt, 4th Quarter Peggy Corrigan. Pop in for a game of Whist on this Thursday October 25 at 8.30pm
