NEWBRIDGE Community Family Race Day at the Curragh takes place on Bank Holiday Monday 7 May.

Proceeds from the day will be donated to worthy charities in the locality by both the Catholic and Church of Ireland parishes.

The program includes seven races starting at 2.15pm featuring leading jockeys generously supported by Coolmore Stud, Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge Credit Union, The Irish Field & P. G. Duffy & Sons.

A magnificent display of military equipment courtesy of the Defence Forces Curragh Camp will be a major highlight of the day.

There will be a fantastic line up of live music which has been put together by well known musician Pud Barrett to take place throughout the afternoon including Night Train, the Leahy Family, Feedback, St Conleth’s Variety Community Games, Stage Academy Newbridge.

Children from local sports clubs have been invited to take part in exhibition games on the racecourse between races.

Tickets for the fund raising raffle with a great line up of prizes will be available from the Parish Centre and will be available to purchase prior to the race day.

A variety of dining options are also available starting from €45 to include admission, race card and buffet lunch in the Horseshoe Restaurant.
