Our U15 lads had a great victory over Kilcullen under the lights in Ballykelly on Thursday evening.

A great second half performance saw them run out winners on a scoreline of Ballykelly 3:12 Kilcullen 2:6. Well done lads

FASHION SHOW

St. Paul’s Secondary School Transition year students present a fashion extravaganza and Christmas Craft Fair on Thursday 29 November at 8pm at the school gym.

TITANIC

Due to popular demand another trip to Titanic will take place on Friday November 2. The cost for adults is €35 (inc Titanic Museum, city tour and bus fare).

Congrats

Congratulations to Monasterevin GFC on winning the IFC county Final on 13 October by defeating Raheens in Newbridge. Monasterevin town was deserted on Saturday as many had traveled to support them and the Minor team .

The winning team was escorted back to Monasterevin by a big convoy of cars and celebrations went on late into the night in the club pavillion. Hard luck to the minors who fought so gallantly in the final.

Alzheimers Society

Sean OFearghail T.D in a written question addressed to the Minister of State at the Department of Health (Mrs Kathleen Lynch) to ask the Minister for Health if he will ensure that the Health Service Executive continue to provide funding to the Alzheimers Society for the operation of a day care facility in Monasterevin , if he will take steps to ensure that this essential three day a week facility is not reduced or diminished and if he will make a statement on the matter. The minister’s reply stated as this is a service matter it has been referred to the Health Service Executive for direct reply.

St John’s Harvest Festival will take place on 24 October at 8.00pm in St Johns Church. The preacher will be Dean of Ossory Very Rev Katherine Poulton.After the service there will be the usual cup of tea and everyone is welcome, a chance to chat and meet old friends,
