Little Jamie Hannon, a pupil at Beehive Montessori in Prosperous, with one of six Easter chicks that were incubated at the school and which hatched last week.

“The children were very excited when they hatched,” teacher Tara Dunne explained. “It was a great experience for them to actually see the life cycle of the chicken.”
