History Group

Rathangan Local History Group held their May Meeting on Thursday last 10th May which was mostly concerned with arranging and agreeing on a list of subjects and lectures for the

next 12 months. Their annual outing in July will be to the Quaker Museum in Ballytore. As we know Rathangan itself had a vibrant Quaker Community in the 18th/19th and early

20the century, their burial ground is opposite the Bun Scoil Bhride and the Meeting House minus its interior furnishing still stands. Their next meeting is on Thursday June 14th at

8pm at the Library. If you would like to join the Group or travel on their outing, you would be most welcome.
